A seedling plant from our flowering mother tree which blooms abundantly during the warmer parts of the year filling the garden with an intoxicatingly fragrant evening blooming flower that produces a powerful sweet scent reminiscent of lemon cotton candy, green apple and bubblegum! Very medicinal plant as well and has been researched for its anticancer, antimicrobial and antidepressant properties.
This species a rare relative of the famous Ylang-Ylang tree (Cananga odorata) but this vining shrub is not just another version of that famous flower, rather it is a fragrant treasure unto itself! The flowers smell MUCH stronger than those of its famous cousin the Chanel no 5 flower!
Flowers form on the vining stems, and begin smelling strongly around sunset. They go until about midnight and sometimes will do the same a second day. The smell is intense and pervasive, with a powerful fruity sweet notes of bubblegum, cotton candy and green apple hard candy!
A lovely and impressive flower to have around which makes for very fragrant evenings.
