One of the main species which produces the aromatic resin known as Copal Blanco, used as ritual incense by indigenous peoples of the region known today as Oaxaca in Mexico! Multiple cutting sizes available, taken from our 5 year-old mother trees! You will receive 2 stem cuttings, the size of your choice, indicated below.
These healthy stem cuttings can easily be rooted by planting in well draining rich soil and kept moist and in bright light. They come pre-treated with IBA root gel hormone, if this is not wanted please let us know! The will root also without it, it may simply take longer.
Makes an amazing bonsai tree with interesting history of use! Truly beautiful plants, the bright green leaves are bullated, giving them an intriguing texture against the grey metallic zig-zagging stems! Bark becomes very textured as if it is ripping at the bottom of the trunk but interestingly does not exfoliate (shed) bark like other Bursera.
The resin of this tree has been collected and used ritually for thousands of years in its native range of Southwestern Mexico. The resin is collected much in the same way as frankincense and gathered between two agave leaves. The resin has an incredibly clean and bright, sparkling scent!
